We are lucky in my industry and in my area that there are some really good conferences related to information security that I don’t have to travel far to get to. I spent the day today (and will be spending tomorrow) at the IDTrust Symposium up at NIST in Gaithersburg.

It is a yearly visit for me – the price is good, the location isn’t too far, and there are always good people to talk to at the event. I had the benefit of being able to visit some friends who I haven’t seen in a while, and sharing lunch with them as well.

Lunch at the conference was: rolls with butter, apple cider chicken, garden salad, pasta salad, and cheesecake. I had one breast of chicken, and a bunch of garden salad. Yeah, that’s how I roll. Without rolls.

PS: If you’re ever around my daughter Janie, ask her Batman’s real name.
